Pizza Kiosk

Pi Craft is a local pizza chain in upstate New York that offers a unique experience of being able to customize your own pizza. The company primarily serves families and college students. This project reimagines the ordering experience through a kiosk that serves to delight their customers through creating a custom pizza in the visual style of pizza-making video games.

Solution

I created a custom kiosk user interface that leans into a playful, hand-drawn visual style that pulls inspiration from pizza-making video games. The kiosk aims to create a delightful ordering experience through an extensive user experience process for youth and young adults.

Overview

Project documents the creation of the product requirements, task diagram, wireframes, style guide, visual compositions, and prototype of a kiosk ordering system for local pizza chain.

Accessibility

To ensure that this kiosk is accessible, I aligned the build of the kiosk to follow ADA kiosk guidelines and allow wheelchairs to slide underneath. The kiosk also has a vertical tilt to provide easier access at varying heights.

Model

I constructed a to-scale, physical representation of the kiosk, complete with its tilting functionality. Using this model, I conducted evaluations involving various button and text dimensions to guarantee readability and user-friendliness.

Workflow Diagram

Project documents the creation of the product requirements, task diagram, wireframes, style guide, visual compositions, and prototype of a kiosk ordering system for local pizza chain.

Style Guide

For visual consistency in the kiosk design, I crafted a style guide summarizing the new branding I developed, which draws inspiration from pizza-making video games.
